I have made 1 statement on my social media about the 2016 campaign. Today! I resist everyday, the opportunity to scream Women Power! and Hillary! at the top of my lungs and/or post it all over Facebook. As a professional - I feel I need to restrain my opinion. On the other hand, as a feminist, how can I keep from singing?! So, another opening to compare life to dating!Today I posted: "Trump is that boyfriend who has offended your friends, your family and hurt you many times. How many friends do you need to tell you to dump him?" Can we talk about the blind spots women have? Wait...not just conservative women but the white establishment who is "faking" their support of Trump. If I had a friend who was self destructing this same way...I would pull them aside and show them their destruction in a mirror.
I am very glad this is not my friend. But also, my friends are strong, thoughtful women who can make their own decisions about their time, opinion and their body. In 1 month from today - we vote as a country. A lot will happen in the news just like the drama in the hallways of a high school.
Please take a breath and do the soul searching you need to do to choose a candidate for class president. OH! no, I mean - President of the United States! And even if you don't like Hillary, she is a woman who has the experience, time, foreign relationships an
d know-how to lead the U.S. Don't be jealous of another woman. Realize, with her, your life is about to change for the better. If you can't stand the guy you are supporting, i.e. dating....call your girls and just hang with the women.
